Egerton University took part in this year's Career Day at Molo Secondary School held on 11th February 2022. The event was attended by more than 2000 students who are KCSE candidates in various schools in Molo Sub-county, Nakuru County.
Prof. Paul Kimurto, Director Marketing and Resource Mobilisation (DMRM), led the team from Egerton University in marketing the programmes offered at Egerton. The Alumni Relations Office, represented by Dr. Hillary Chakava, had an opportunity to enroll several Egerton University Alumni who were at the event.
The Career Day was organised by Molo School to expose the KCSE candidates to post-secondary learning opportunities available in Kenya after high school. The Chairman of the Management Board of Molo School, Dr. Owen Ngumi, was the Chief Guest.
Other universities and colleges which took part in the event included Kenyatta University, Laikipia University, Zetech University, Kabarak University, Mt. Kenya University, Rift Valley Institute of Science and Technology, Kenya Industrial Training Institute and the Rift Valley Institute of Business Studies. Representatives from the Colleges and Universities Placement Agency (CUPA) also spoke to the students on available opportunities for higher education in Kenya.
As part of a marketing campaign to attract the students to join Egerton University, DMRM will send success cards to the candidates who attended the event.
