Egerton University had invited bidders for the below mentioned tender via tender notice dated 5^th May, 2021 on 2 nationally circulated newspapers; Daily Nation and The Standard Newspapers, the Public Procurement Information Portal www.tenders.go.ke and on the University website www.egerton.ac.ke.

Question

That a bidder sought clarification whether it is possible to consider submission of Expression of Interest documents in digital form? Due to the COVID19 pandemic and delays in deliveries, DHL Post or any other international courier service providers cannot guarantee the arrival of documents in time for the deadline on May 27^th, 2021.

Clarification

That bidder may either submit their bids in any of the following ways:

1. Where a bidder wishes to submit the hardcopy,
   1. They should give unconditional Power of Attorney to a local representative/ partner to submit their bids as allowed/ specified in the tender document so as to reach the Procuring Entity on or before 27^th May, 2021
   2. They may do so through international courier service providers so as to reach the procuring entity on or before 27th May, 2021
