Egerton University featured prominently at the just concluded Universities and Colleges Career Fair in Eldoret. The Fair was held at the Sirikwa Hotel on 20th and 21st May 2022. More than 18 universities, colleges and higher education recruiting agencies exhibited their programmes, research activities and innovations.
The delegation from Egerton University was led by the Registrar (Academic Affairs), Prof Mwanarusi Saidi. Others were Director Marketing and Resource Mobilisation, Prof. Paul Kimurto, Director International Linkages and Career Services, Prof. Charles Merimba, Alumni Relations Coordinator, Dr. Masaya Chakava, among others. Staff and students also exhibited various innovations and sold University products like seeds, alumnimerchandise, animal feeds, and others. Among the many visitors to the Egerton stand was Mr. Rogers Kirwa who is well known on social media as Mr. Agriculture. Mr. Kirwa is an award winning farmer and agri-journalist on a mission to end hunger. He is a champion for the participation of youth and women in Agriculture. He was in the Egerton Agribusiness class of 2012 and graduated in 2016.
The University expects to admit many students from the region going by the huge interest observed among prospective students who visited our stand.
